Reference:- Renowned former Prime Minister , Mr Scott Morrison , achieved another first in Parliament today . He was censured .

Reference :-  In Parliament today , Mr Morrison gave a defiant speech in which he defended his secret appointment to a tranche of ministerial positions . Nonetheless , he has become the first Prime Minister in the history of Australia to be censured .

Dear Mr Morrison , sir , 

                                           What a pleasure it was to watch you read the riot act to all those "holier than thou " parliamentarians  who jealously spoke against you .  Ken junior only saw the last half of your oration ( where you recounted your tremendous achievements as a leader )  and thought you were giving your valedictory speech .  Then again , in one sense  , perhaps you were .  Anyway , I certainly enjoyed seeing you command the attention of Parliament , just like you did in the good old days .

Sadly , it is disgraceful that our three previous Tory Prime Ministers  have condemned you . No doubt they will be regretting their disloyalty after hearing you speak today .  Despite the childish prattle in the media , I believe that you are leaving on a high note ,  and the fourth estate be damned ,  especially the ABC ... sorry , I mean the " taxpayer funded ABC ".

Just one thing though . I don't doubt that several lawyers worked together to help write your speech , and I did notice that this allowed a couple of " contradictory facts " to slip into your narrative .  Hopefully they will go unnoticed , but the tabloid press is always looking for some excuse to call you a liar . 

Doubtless the less said about " contradictory facts " the better , but if some smart arsed young journo corners you with a tricky question ,  just say calm , call upon your years of experience , and remember the three answers that became your tools of trade . 

" I never said that . "   .... followed with. 

" I don't accept the premise of your question . " ...... followed with . 

 " I have already answered that question. " .

                                     It is about time that somebody raised the issue of personal attacks in the arena of public affairs . We see far too many of them these days .  Thankfully,  Sky News has retained it's professionalism while the rest of public discourse sinks disappointingly into an abyss of abuse . 

One need only look at the appalling speeches made by the likes of  Deadly Dan Andrews , Sleepy Joe Biden , and Each Way Albo to realise that respect is rapidly vanishing from public debate . 

In the words of your comrade , Paul Murray  " those wankers " don't know the first thing about respect . 

Anyway , keep up the good work , and we trust you will continue to maintain your high standards .

We are all equal in this democratic country of ours  , and all have one vote .  I recently reminded the cleaner at the Kooralya pub , Dulcie , that she should be grateful for this .  After all , her vote is just as valuable as the vote of any billionaire .

Anyway Andy , do you really think that most ordinary Australian's could care much either way ?

Reference :-   Jordan Shanks ( AKA Friendlyjordies ) hasn't received the attention in the news one might expect after being firebombed twice .  And where are the officers from the NSW Fixated Persons Investigations Unit ?

Dear Officers of the NSW Fixated Persons Investigations Unit , 

  Although I can find no mention of you in the news , I am sure you must be working day and night on the Friendlyjordies case . I didn't know your unit existed , until a couple of years back , when you arrested Friendlyjordie's producer ,  young Kristo Langker , at his parent's home . 

The whole incident was filmed by his mum and dad , and I did admire the way your officer threw Kristo to the ground and handcuffed him despite the fact that he had agreed to cooperate peacefully .   Many folk don't know this  , but skinny young music students like Kristo can become very violent .  Just spend a day at the Conservatorium  during violin practice and you will see what  I mean .  Furthermore ,  you did the right thing by not sinking the boot into him while being filmed  (Filmed without permission I might add) , since that would have angered one or other cohort of the woke .

In my view Kristo  deserved what he got . Video footage taken prior to his arrest clearly shows him trying to give the former ( now disgraced ) Deputy Premier of NSW , Mr John Barilaro , a letter which was personally addressed to him  .  Not only that , but he did it in broad daylight on a public footpath . It amazes me that Kristo  thought he could do that and not be violently arrested . 

Anyway , what of these firebombings ?   Who might be the culprits ?  Friendlyjordies has crushed a few toes with his investigative journalism  , but surely none of those he has exposed would be stupid enough to try and cremate him in his sleep ?  Few clues remain in the smouldering ashes , but here is a tip.  Could Friendlyjordies have firebombed his own house in order to garner sympathy ? 

   Remember how President Johnson lied about a torpedo attack in the Gulf of Tonkin so he could start that war with Vietnam ?  A false flag , I believe it is called .  Maybe these inexplicable arson attacks are a false flag ? 

 I don't say I am right , but it is worth keeping the possibility in mind .

Reference :-    It started with art galleries being vandalised , and now classical music concerts are also being interrupted  by climate activists . 

Dear Rowan and Rita , 

                                          Here at The Sky Reply we do appreciate the highly intellectual approach you take when reporting the news .  And we were certainly shocked to hear that climate activists have glued themselves to the conductor's stand at a Beethoven concert .  It was not long ago that you showed activists spraying slime all over a painting by Monet , that French Impressionist chap .   ( You could have run a banner headline along the lines of " Impressionist Gallery Curator Unimpressed . " .... keep it in mind for next time. ) 

Anyway , as you point out , it is ridiculous to punish Beethoven for climate change . I reckon if he was still alive today and had attended the concert those protests would have fallen on deaf ears .    But don't despair .  While the crazy activists are trying to destroy the icons of western civilization , our side is winning convincingly . Since that disgraceful attempt to ruin a Beethoven concert a couple of days back ,  another 160, 000 acres of rainforest have been burned to ash . So I ask you , who is having the last laugh ? 

Finally  , and I hope you don't take this the wrong way , perhaps you are starting to become too intellectual for your target audience?    Doubtless all this stuff about Monet and Beethoven goes over the heads of many of your devotees .  I don't suggest for a minute that your audience is riddled with knuckleheads , since that is clearly Paul Murray's demographic . However many folk , less cultured than us , may not give a rat's arse for the fine arts .   

What you need is something that all your viewers can relate to .    Which brings me to the subject of next weekends festivities out here at Kooralya .  

In the lead up to Christmas we a stage a general whoop up day out at here at the lake .  All manner of cultural activity is represented , but the three biggest crowd pleasers are the Jet Ski Race , The Hot Ute Burnout , and the Wet T Shirt Competition .   Imagine the outrage that would ensue if climate activists sprayed paint on a Jet Ski or a V8 Ute or some sheila's gazongas . 

Of course , it might require .... lets just say some " pre-planning " to ensure that a protest happens .  Ken junior reckons he can sort out the details if you send him a few quid to cover the cost of the paint and any unintended legal complications .

Reference :- The Victorian election is over , and we now know who won , and who lost .

 Reference :-   Today is a sad day for the Sky News team , especially Peta Credlin . 

 

Dear Peta , 

                   Watching Mr Daniel Andrews ( AKA  " Deadly Dan "  , " Dangerous Dan "  , " Dictator Dan " , and " the most corrupt politician in history " ) win office for an historic third term must have been a truly awful experience .  Our thoughts are with you , especially since you put so much effort into destroying the man's reputation with that damning documentary you released on the eve of the election , as a service to the community . 

I was glued to the tube all night watching the results roll in , although Ken junior said he was tired and hit the sack early after losing interest , as young folk usually do .  Mind you ,  considering he was tired there was a lot of noise coming from his bedroom  for quite a while .  In the morning I asked Ken junior to guess how the election had finished . 

" Have a guess how the election finished . "  , I said . 

" I reckon Peta Credlin lost . " , Ken junior said . 

And sadly , he was right .  There is no changing that , but try to keep a stiff upper lip .  The following advice might prove helpful . 

1.     Don't hit the bottle and risk being booked for drink driving .  You got away with that the last time , after the judge let you off the hook , but that was in the days when the tories ran the country and you can't expect such courtesy now the socialists are in power  . 

2.    Don't wear black when you host your next show .  You did that when Mr Morrison's government was unfairly cast into oblivion , and even then it looked a tad comical .  Doing it again would have the lads at The Sky Reply laughing their heads off.

3.   Don't blame the voters or reference " Stockholm syndrome "  .  It looks grubby .  Leave that to Paul Murray 

4.   As they say , " Every setback is an opportunity ", so this must be a huge opportunity indeed .  Take the time to embrace it fully . 

5.  Excuse my presumption , but since everybody you support suffers humiliating defeat  , perhaps you should consider a strategy where you pretend to support anybody that you want ousted .   Would Mr Andrews have won if you had spent weeks promoting him on your show ?   To many folk his roundish features might start to resemble a poisoned apple .  Are you with me ? 

Anyway Peta ,  try to enjoy the remainder of the weekend , and give your car keys to a friend for safe keeping .   We look forward to seeing you colorfully dressed on your next show , which will show everybody that you don't feel humiliated by your defeat .

 Reference:-  Although we are not citizens of Victoria, here at The Sky Reply we will be keenly watching the results of tomorrow's election . 

Dear Sky News team , 

                                        You have worked yourselves ragged over the last few weeks , trying to overthrow the current Labor government in Victoria .  And good on you . What is the point of a news service if it can't overthrow a government ?   Ken junior has accused you of spreading anti- labor " propaganda" . But so what ?  He said that as though he believes propaganda to be a bad thing .  I am sure you have read the tome by the chap most praised for the invention of propaganda , Edward Bernays .  ( His book bears the catchy title " Propaganda " . ) 

Mr Bernays  was at great pains to explain that propaganda can be a force for good when used correctly . Lies and manipulation , or distortions and omissions are not themselves unethical as long as they are used to achieve a worthwhile and ethical goal .  I explained this to Ken junior , but the lad is too naive to understand . 

Anyway , I do like the way Rowan Dean has been giving the false impression that Daniel Andrews hates the Jews .   This is always a severe blow to a chap's credibility , a blow best delivered at the eleventh hour so nobody has time to check the facts . It worked very well when Sky News wanted to discredit that pommie chap who was running for Prime Minister in Old Blighty , Mr Jeremy Corbyn . 

Of course it turned out that the chief Rabbi ( who is Jewish himself )  over there thought Mr Corbyn was a thorough gentleman , but nobody heard about it until after the election . And the point is , that one minor fib helped get Mr Johnson into Number 10 ( briefly ) , so who could object ?   And to those who do feel a tad miffed , I would say what I said to Ken junior . 

" Once the election was over Mr Corbyn was cleared of antisemitism , so no harm done ." , I said . 

 Anyway , regarding Mr Andrews , personally I don't know enough to have an opinion one way or another , but if you don't succeed in getting him thrown out of office it will be a sad day for Sky News , and an even sadder day for democracy .  

After your failures supporting  Mr Trump , Mr Morrison , and Mr Johnson you are overdue for a win . It's about time a political leader was chosen by the likes of Sky News , and not the great unwashed who are so easily manipulated .

Reference:-  Last night's documentary by Peta Credlin did heavily feature a slug  , just as Ken junior predicted . 

I don't know how he did it , but Ken junior was right about Peta Credlin and the slug .  It seemed like the slug story filled half the documentary . 

Although the scandal has been named " Slug -gate " , not " Slugfest " as Ken junior suggested . 

But seriously , this slug thing  does give one pause , and will be worth watching as the court hearings progress. 

 I mentioned this to Monte , who had missed last night's documentary . 

" The court case about the slug will be interesting " , I said 

" Is Paul Murray in court ? ",  Monte said . 

 " It's not about  .....oh  just forget it . ", I said .  

  One thing I will say .  Ms Credlin must have set some sort of a new record  . The first 60 seconds of her documentary featured 11 comments from folk who don't like Mr Andrews . 

It certainly established the tone quickly  .

Reference :-  Feedback plays a vital role in the maintenance of broadcasting standards .

Dear Sky News team , 

                                       It has been some time now since the Coalition members were banished from the media spotlight after enjoying a decade of bathing in it daily .  Although that is very sad , and your anguish is still palpable , you must not worsen the situation by failing to notice the dramatic change in public discourse that has resulted . 

In times past your own abilities to articulate ,  reason  , reference actual facts and develop an argument  were in most cases only required to match the abilities displayed by the Coalition .  That was not very challenging , I am sure you will agree .   

The trouble is , we now have people in government who are capable of developing logical arguments devoid of jingoism and rigid ideology .   The bar has been raised boys and girls , and you must respond accordingly or you will increasingly look like a pack of pantomime clowns and lose much of your audience .     Of course , some  folk do prefer their news to be presented by a pack of pantomime clowns , and that is their privilege .  But there are not enough of such folk to keep you positioned in the ratings, and that will impact your bottom line . 

Ken junior wanted to give you feedback outlining the shortcomings of each member of your team in detail , but I feel that such feedback would be premature .  As experienced commentators I am sure you have the ability to judge your performance , honestly face your shortcomings , and implement change .  A good start would be to watch the National Press Club meetings and listen to how the quality of the discourse has improved of late . 

Anyway , we look forward to viewing Peta Credlin's unbiased documentary about the Premier of Victoria on the tele this evening .   Ken junior reckons there will be much said about a certain slug found on the floor of a commercial kitchen .   He reckons the documentary should be promoted like a boxing match  as  " The Credlin vs Andrews Slugfest ". 

I have no idea what he is on about , but I guess that does put him in your pantomime clown loving demographic .

 Reference:-   Jeff Bezos claims that it is a challenge for him to develop a strategy for giving away his fortune . 

Dear Mr Bezos , 

                               Indeed , how does one offload a hundred billion quid or more ?  That old novel , " Brewster's Millions " reveals how hard it can be to divest oneself of large quantities of mazuma , but I am sad to say , it offers no useful advice on the subject . 

Ken junior on the other hand , has a few suggestions that might be worthy of your consideration .  I have listed these below , realising that you may not wish to run with all of them , for whatever reason . 

1.  Pay a living wage to those among your workers who rely on food stamps to survive .

2. Pay 2 weeks sick leave to those among your workers who may come down with covid or contract another illness . 

3. Upgrade your workplace so that you no longer have a workplace injury rate 2.5 times the national average . 

4. Relax your workplace quotas so that none of your employees need to urinate in an empty coke can or defecate in a plastic bag to avoid being penalised for visiting the toilet . 

5. Reimburse the taxpayers who subsidised you to the tune of billions when you opened new warehouses . 

6. Refund the customers who paid 1000% over the odds  for products like gloves during the height of the covid pandemic . 

 

Admittedly this is only a start , and would only diminish your wealth by less than one percent . But you have to start somewhere . 

If you find it difficult to make such big changes all at once , perhaps you could buy your employees bottles to urinate in and plastic bags to defecate in so they don't have to buy their own ?  Or maybe offer to sell  them urine bottles and feces bags at a discounted rate ?  These actions have the advantage that they don't look like a pathetic attempt at virtue signalling , something you must avoid at all costs .

It is a big job you have ahead of you , so don't procrastinate . 

Finally , as we all know , nobody with half a brain does anything gratis  . As payment for his advice , Ken junior is happy to accept the equivalent of one second's worth of your yearly income , which is but a measly 2500 quid or so .  That strikes me as quite a bargain .

Reference:- Is the concept of hypocrisy useful in a debate ?

Reference :-   Sky News climate expert  , Rowan Dean does bang on quite a lot about " hypocrisy ". 

Dear Rowan , 

                        What with all the disturbing weather news of late , it sure is becoming difficult to discredit those folk ( including tens of thousands of so called scientists ) who have joined the climate change cult . 

We do appreciate your efforts to find a chilly day here and a dusting of snow there , while ignoring heatwaves and the like . But remember , it is important to preserve your credibility as a commentator , which brings me to this observation . 

You have taken pains to mock that climate conference ( COP 27 , I believe it is called ) they are running in Cairo , and that is well and good .  But you must avoid banging on about " hypocrisy " .   The delegates may be enjoying their air conditioning after flying to Cairo in private jets . They may be touring the desert in petrol engined SUVs to view ancient artifacts from the days of Ramesses . They may even be leaving their bathroom lights on all night after a 30 minute shower .  And indeed Rowan , that would reek of hypocrisy .  But to quote Ken junior .... " So what ? " 

A chap can be an appalling hypocrite without being wrong .  It smacks of desperation when you accuse somebody of hypocrisy , because even if you are correct , it means nothing .   In fact , even worse , it makes you look like you can offer nothing better by way of argument  , which I am sure you can .

Anyway Rowan , Ken junior is enjoying seeing Egypt on the tele.  It is a fascinating country with a glorious past that can only be imagined when exploring the various ruins .   I steered Ken junior in the direction of Percy Shelley's poem " Ozymandias " .   I wanted to illustrate that even the most splendid  civilizations eventually disappear , leaving us to ponder , like Mr Shelley , that  " round the decay of that colossal wreck , boundless and bare , the lone and level sands stretch far away  " . 

Of course , due to desertification  there are a lot more lone and level sands now than there were when Mr Shelley was an intrepid traveler .  I guess that's partly why we have millions of refugees .

Ken junior tells me he is resigned to the collapse of civilization as we know it , but remains somewhat upbeat .  He steered me in the direction of another poem he found in an antique book he bought at the Kooralya school fete years ago .

This is most alarming .  Already 4 women and 13 children have arrived on our shores .  It is said that security agencies are keeping a close eye on them , but can we trust them to do their job ? 

Personally , I think that we must take individual responsibility when facing a threat of such magnitude .  And nobody should be fooled by the fact that some of the children are very young .  As a parent myself , I know what young children are capable of .  Besides , young children grow up . Far better that they stay overseas in a squalid refugee camp where they are unlikely to be radicalized .  I can hardly imagine the extremist views that they would develop if they grew up here in Australia . 

There is no time to waste , and the lads and I are preparing for the likelihood of future terrorist attacks .   Car bombings feature regularly on the tele , and we think that armor plating the ute is a priority .  Ken junior is pretty good with a welder , and since the railway closed there are plenty of abandoned tracks we can put to use .  Monte reckons the extra weight will slow the old ute down , but those Holden motors from the sixties can pull anything if you don't mind using a bit more petrol .   I reckon a few extra gallons of a petrol is a small price to pay for piece of mind .

P.S.  If any of our regular readers can tell us how to make unobtrusive body armor out of corrugated iron we would be most grateful .  We are keen to protect ourselves without looking too much like Ned Kelly .

                      Here at the Sky Reply we agree that political smear campaigns are shabby indeed . We reckon that the smearer usually ends up losing more credibility than the smearee .  Smear campaigns reek of desperation .  One finds oneself asking of the smearer " Is that all you've got ? "    Like when that young Angus Taylor chap keeps banging on about Labor's undeliverable  275 quid cut to power bills .

Even Ken junior walked away from the tele in disgust when Angus mentioned the 275 quid for the tenth time in as many minutes, while saying  bugger all about his own policies .

" Is that all you've got Angus ? , "  Ken junior said . 

Like you Chris , we support respectful debate , and believe that people shouldn't base their political  decisions on cunningly constructed negative propaganda . 

Anyway Chris , how is Peta Credlin's new documentary " The Cult of Dan Andrews " coming along ?   We have been eagerly awaiting it's release , and with the Victorian election imminent it must be hitting the screens soon . Not much point in releasing it after the election , hey Chris . 

It's a shame her last documentary about Mr Andrews flopped so badly . I think it was the title " Deadly Decisions  " that killed it . Although the spooky music was good , and I see she is running with that again .

 Wish her luck for me .
