 We were diligently researching the latest Sky Reply , when Monte suddenly  interrupted us . 

" Holy cow .  It says here that Alan Jones has lost his column . What a disaster . " , Monte said . 

" It's not a disaster  , I hear you can take a pill for that . " , Ken junior said . 

 " Not that column . His column with the Daily Telegraph ."   Monte said . 

 " Now that is bad news , we have less to reply to now . "   I said . 

  But the worse was yet to come  . 

 " And Sky News has been banned from You Tube for a week . Apparently they have been spreading misinformation . "   Monte said . 

All this is true , but one wonders why anybody would be worried about Sky News spreading misinformation . They have been doing that for years .  Why the sudden concern ? 

Monte said as much .

" They have been spreading misinformation about everything from global warming to bushfires to coral bleaching to budget deficits and so on  for years . Why the sudden concern ? " Monte said 

Gabbo then joined the conversation . 

" Their latest misinformation must be costing the oligarchs a lot of money . "  Gabbo said . 

That might be something to investigate while Sky's  You Tube channel is shut down .

You are so right Rita , insidious terminology is becoming ever more apparent , and this is lowering the standard of public discourse .  As Sky News has told us so often , "the crazy woke left " has become nothing more than a " narcissistic sideshow"  .   What you call the " silent majority "  receive so little respect that they have never even been defined or quantified .  And yet , as you say,  the likes of "Sleepy Joe Biden " and "Dictator Dan Andrews " are free to engage in all manner of " virtue signaling "  about the "climate change hoax ". Its a disgrace , no less .     

Anyway Rita , don't be tempted to engage in such puerile tactics . It would be unbecoming . 

Gabbo has suggested that you merely employ the term " brigade " whenever you wish to denigrate those with whom you disagree . 

 For example  climate scientists  become " the climate change brigade "  .  The applications are endless. ...   "black lives matter brigade " ,  " me too brigade " , " renewable energy brigade "  and on and on .  

 Although Gabbo says that maybe  " unprecedented bush fire brigade " could cause confusion .

Reference :- Outspoken Sky anchor , Andy Bolt , has finally conceded that global warming is a thing .

 Reference :-  Although Andy Bolt now believes the planet is warming , he has reminded us that there is no cause for alarm . 

Indeed Andy , the evidence for global warming is now so overwhelming that one would lose all credibility by denying it is happening .    Naturally your sidekick , young Rowan Dean , will continue  to tell us an ice age is upon us  .  But he has no credibility to lose in the first instance . His segments are seen as black comedy , not news . And rather poor black comedy at that , suffused with schadenfreude as it is .   

Anyway , thank heavens you served some good news with the bad , and reminded  us that we are rich enough to buy ourselves the technology that will allow us to enjoy comfortable lives while the planet becomes daily less habitable . 

 Mind you , out here at Kooralya nobody except the publican can even afford an air conditioner .   And Ken junior tells me that there are about 700 million folk globally living in extreme poverty .  Ken junior reckons these folk probably can't afford a decent feed , let alone an air conditioned flat somewhere in a gated community protected by a private militia .  

It is all very well for Ken junior to worry about those who live in abject poverty , but I told him we can't save everybody , and we have a duty to look after ourselves .   And to be honest , sad though it is , what can 700 million desperate and impoverished folk do that might disadvantage the likes of us , who have worked hard for what we have ?

Reference :- People are getting tired of lockdowns . There have been angry protests .

Reference :-    According to Sky News , its not unreasonable for people to stage protests after  being  traumatised by weeks of lockdowns . 

Sky anchor, young Andy Bolt,   doesn't object to people demonstrating in the streets .   Unless , of course , they are demonstrating about something he doesn't support .   Like black lives matter , or climate action for example . 

 But that aside , Andy has made a valid point  .  After weeks of frustrating confinement  it's only natural that people are going to let off steam .  We should cut them a little slack and not treat them so harshly . 

Unless , of course , they are foreign asylum seekers who have been locked in detention for 7 years with no idea when they might be released . Those folk should be grateful for what we are providing and remain patient .  It reflects badly upon their culture when they stage protests just because they are unhappy about their indefinite confinement .   Those people would never be able to assimilate into our society and accept our values .  Isn't that right Andy ?

Reference :- Here's something unexpected . Actually , it's not really .

Reference :-   For every problem , there is a solution . 

Much and all as Sky News keeps finding locations where snow is falling , there are places where frozen water is thawing ... quite a lot .  One of these is along the Trans- Alaska Oil Pipeline .  It seems that thawing permafrost is causing sections of the pipeline to sink , with the risk of rupture . 

But there is no need to panic yet .  Refrigeration systems have been installed to keep the permafrost frozen beneath the pipeline . That's what's called lateral thinking at it's best .  

It reminds me of the time the ute was running out of petrol . We decided to drive as fast as possible so we would get home before the tank ran dry .  We held it flat out for miles , but we didn't quite make it .  I figure it was only because the ute wouldn't go fast enough .

 Ken junior is reading this as I tap away on the Remington .  

And he is rolling his eyes for some reason .  What's the matter with kids these days ?

Reference :-  Who would have thought that so many people couldn't solve Gabbos's riddle ?

 Two posts ago we posed this question .   You are at an intersection wondering whether to turn left or right to reach your destination . Two sisters are standing at the intersection . One sister always tells lies , and the other always tells the truth . You can ask one sister one question  . What do you ask to determine the correct direction ?

 And here is the answer .  You pick one of the sisters randomly and ask this . 

"  Will your sister tell me to go to the right ? "  . 

 If the answer is yes , then you must turn left .  

The reasoning goes like this .   If the sister you asked is the liar , she will have lied when she said the honest sister would tell you to go right . This means the correct direction is to the left . 

If the sister you asked is honest , when she says that the other sister would tell you to turn right  she is telling the truth  about the other sister who  is the liar , so you must turn left . 

If the answer is no , you must turn right .  The same logic applies . 

Should you have asked the sister who lies , she will have lied when she said her sister would say no .  Which means the honest sister would say turn right . 

If the sister you asked is honest she would answer no , because she knows the lying sister will tell you to turn left . 

This means you must turn right . 

 It's pretty obvious now Gabbo has pointed it out .

Reference :- Sky weather boy Rowan Dean is not as amusing as he once was .

Reference:-  Ever since Rowan Dean decided to entertain us with kooky ice age predictions he has had to ignore the deadly heatwaves and massive wildfires that regularly ravage the northern hemisphere during our winter .

It's a tough spot you are in Rowan .  We used to enjoy sitting down on a Sunday , cracking the popcorn and laughing at all that " Electroverse " guff about the impending ice age.   The trouble is , the real news showing deaths during record heatwaves , council cooling rooms for the heat struck , and 22,000 firefighters struggling against  88 uncontrolled wildfires in the USA does make for more compelling viewing .  

You have to admit that the video footage of such catastrophes holds an audience's attention  far better than a few incomprehensible graphs gleaned from " Electroverse " .  True , you do flash those graphs on the screen so briefly  that nobody can even read what is being measured on the 'x' and 'y ' axes , which does add a sense of mystery .   But let's be honest ,  your presentations are never going to impress viewers as much as images of a 600 square mile uncontrollable inferno . 

We could see you were nervous on Sunday , Rowan .  You stammered more than somewhat , and had a tendency to glance about nervously .  Normally a news presenter can get away with that if their content is authentic , but you have no hope of peddling kooky propositions if you are not meticulous in your presentation .   The slightest stumble will invite suspicions that you don't believe your own conspiracy theories .

Ken junior has pointed out that other comedians , most notably Tommy Cooper , can successfully make ineptitude part of their routine .  But you don't have the required humility to run with that , so your performance must always be flawless .  

" But no pressure . "  ,  Ken junior says .

Reference :- We should have defined what Mr Murdoch's supposed news channels actually are long ago .

Reference :-   Are Fox and Sky News  really news sources , or are they something else altogether ?  And if they are something else altogether , what is it ? 

 On Friday night  ( which is our pizza night ) The Sky Reply team was watching Sky News when suddenly Gabbo spoke out . 

" This isn't a news service , why do we waste our time watching it ?  " , Gabbo said . 

" Steady on Gabbo , without Sky News there would be no need for  The Sky Reply . " ,  I said . 

Well that got everybody started , and the conversation became so involved that we missed the rest of Sky News that night , which was a shame,  because I was eager to hear how woke madness had further destroyed civilisation  that Friday  .   I said as much to Gabbo . 

" I am eager to hear how woke madness has further destroyed civilisation  today " ,  I said . 

" Have you ever met somebody afflicted with woke madness ?  " , Gabbo said . 

"  Of course not , we have our differences out here in Kooralya , but nobody is mad or woke . "  , I said . 

" Perhaps we are being lied to about woke madness . "   Gabbo said . 

" News services aren't allowed to tell lies,  Gabbo . " , I said . 

 However , that is apparently where I am wrong .  Gabbo went on to tell us about Tucker Carlson , the leading broadcaster at Fox News in the USA.    Young Tucker 's show was recently declared the top rated program in the history of cable news .  He makes some very outrageous claims on his show , and doesn't mind delivering  all kinds of shocking accusations .  If you don't know him , picture a higher octane version of Andrew Bolt .  Except more articulate , probably because he is sober . 

Recently judges cleared young Tucker of any wrong-doing .  The main focus of the legal battle concerned whether or not young Tucker is allowed to lie to the public .  And we are talking about actual lies , not just opinion .  The judges ruled that the Tucker Carlson show is watched by folk for entertainment , rather than  factual news coverage .   The judges said  that   " the general tenor of the show should inform "  viewers and fans that Tucker " is not stating actual facts and instead is engaging in exaggeration and non-literal commentary ".  Viewers would instinctively know that  Tuckers presentations were " loose , figurative or hyperbolic " , the judges said .

So I guess we should think of Sky News and Fox News as entertainment , and not take it seriously .  Even when Tucker says , as he does  , " Remember the facts of the story . These are undisputed .  " .

Of course , a supreme court judge might be experienced  enough to distinguish fact from fiction , but Gabbo does think that members of an angry mob storming the Capitol Building , for example , might lack that experience . 

" I reckon most people can distinguish fact from fiction Gabbo  . " , I said 

Gabbo then offered us the following age old conundrum to solve .  

You are standing at a intersection , unsure whether to turn left or right to reach  your destination .  Two sisters are there to offer directions . You have been told that one of them always lies , and one of them always tells the truth .  You can only ask one of the sisters a single question . What question do you ask to find the correct direction ?

 Reference :-   Acclaimed Prime Minister , Mr Scott Morrison , has always told us that he accepts the advice of experts when it comes to managing the pandemic. 

And so you should Mr Morrison , sir .  Unless , of course , taking that advice effects your position in the polls .  And the polls are looking extremely bad of late .   Obviously it is tempting  to contact the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation and lobby them to change their advice .  Lobbying is the time honored way to get things done in this country , and as a fully qualified marketing expert you know that more than  anybody . 

 But be aware that it's a risky strategy . If the media gets a whiff , the polls will dive even further . 

You haven't tried to steer the actions of the independent ATAGI  already have you ?    

If you have , it would be best top stop doing it , and swear on the bible that you have never done so .

Reference :- Peta Credlin celebrated the fact that the "woke left" has been unable to ban Dr Suess books .

Reference :-     That might be because the "woke left " didn't try to ban them in the first place . 

Gosh Peta , who does your research  ?  They need to sharpen their act . After all it is you , not them , that looks like a complete idiot if you run a story that is ......ahem ..... not strictly factual .   Even worse , lately in Australia you run the risk of being forcibly dragged away in  a black car by the anti- terrorist cops if you say something in public to discredit a party you dislike.   Although Ken junior just reminded me that it's OK to discredit the "woke left" ,  it's only discrediting conservatives  that gets you arrested . 

Nonetheless , it pays to be cautious , so here are the actual facts .  

1. Nobody banned a single book by Dr Suess . 

2. All of his 60 or so different titles were left on the bookshelves at schools . 

3. One secondary school in the whole of the USA decided to " de- emphasize " 6 Suess books on  the annual " Read Across America Day "   . 

4 . The school that decided to " de-emphasize "  the 6 books left those books  in their library and had the children write essays about Dr Suess , since " Read Across America Day " is celebrated on Dr Suess's birthday .

5. The company that produces Dr Suess books had decided by itself to stop printing 6 of the more obscure books only , partly because societal views have changed and partly for commercial reasons . (They didn't sell many. )  The remaining books  (90 % of them ) remain hugely popular and the printing  of Suess books continues . 

 You know Peta , this reminds of the time our local newspaper , The Kooralya Chronicle , ran a misleading  story .  The headline ran thus .

  "  Youth has all his motorbikes confiscated by police " . 

In fact ,  our workmate young Monte  , had been pulled over for riding one of his motorbikes sans exhaust muffler .    The police took it off the road , but gave it back to him and it remains part of his collection of ten classic trail bikes . 

At the time , I spoke with the editor about his misleading story , and started to tell him the facts . He just laughed and said he knew it was rubbish , but it made a good headline .  Plus he said he was out to discredit the local cops because he didn't like the way they enforced closing hours at the pub .  

 Anyway Peta , not much harm done with this one I guess .  I don't think there is a great  need to air a correction as you have done in the past , especially since you haven't received a court order on this occasion .

 Reference :-  Once again Alan Jones enjoyed a friendly interview with somebody from the more progressive side of politics . What is happening ?

 Good morning Alan .  At last you are exposing Mr Morrison and his cohort of incompetent grifters for what they are .   And this is not just my opinion . Nobody could ever accuse you of hiding your true thoughts on any subject .  To employ a Jones -like expression , " a blind fool could see that you are sick of the utter incompetence and corruption that pervade the Morrison government .". 

 It was nice to see you so relaxed while interviewing Mr Shorten . It must be a great relief for you to interview public figures who speak honestly and make sense for a change .    One can't help but notice how interview shy Mr Morrison has become of late .   He obviously knows he can no longer rely on support from any of the media .  Even Mr Murdoch himself has expressed regret for supporting President Trump , and  perhaps he is starting to feel the same regret concerning Mr Morrison .

 

 Anyway Jonesie , I wonder if you should consider returning to 2GB radio with the aim  of bringing down the Morrison government ?   That young chap , Ben Fordham  , who took your place at 2GB  is sinking in the ratings faster than the Lusitania , despite giving it his best .   I reckon the bosses at 2GB would welcome you back with open arms .  The last year or so has seen you mellow , and I reckon by now the advertisers you previously annoyed would have calmed down , especially when they see how you make the ratings soar . 

And let's face it , do you really want  to be remembered for the sad way you served your final years working at Sky News with the likes of Rowan Dean , James Morrow and Rita Panahi etc ?   To employ another Jones- like expression " those annoying twits are an insult to journalism ". 

Of course it would be the biggest challenge of your career  ,  discrediting the LNP in the minds of your viewers .   But Jonesie , I reckon you can do it ,  at least with enough of your viewers to consign the likes of Scott Morrison , Peter Dutton and Angus Taylor to the obscurity they deserve .

Reference :-   Young Peter Dutton might be losing an ally in the media .  

I was doing the washing up after Friday's dinner , when Ken junior shouted .

" Quick , check out  Alan Jones on Sky News ! " 

Friday is pizza night , so I had nearly finished the washing anyway . As we all know , pizza is traditionally eaten with the fingers , so there is not much crockery involved .  Of course , pizza  topping usually dribbles everywhere when you quickly pull a slice from your mouth after burning  your tongue on the cheese .   This does make a messs ,  but Dog always mops that up for us .   Dog was in a good mood , tail wagging . 

" Pizza spillage is traditionally eaten by the Dog ".  Monte said . 

 Anyway,  I plonked myself in front of the television with a cold beer to soothe my burnt tongue , and  saw that Alan Jones was as angry as he has ever been .  But not with some marxist climate alarmist greenie . He was dressing down our Minister for Defense ,  Mr Peter Dutton .   Jonesie is appalled that we are not expediting the safe evacuation of those in Afghanistan who assisted Australian military personnel while they were there . 

Mr Dutton claims that we cannot be certain of the bona fides of those who seek asylum .  But Jonesie has spoken with those on the ground in Afghanistan who know that to be untrue .  

" Did Jonesie accuse Mr Dutton of lying ? "    I said 

" Yep . " ,  Ken junior said . 

" No he didn't . He said that Mr Dutton was listening to advice from the wrong people . " ,  Monte said . 

" Isn't that just a euphemism for saying he is lying ? "  , Ken junior said . 

" I reckon it's a euphemism for saying  ' I haven't actually called you a liar , so you can't send your goon squad around to arrest me.  ' .  " ,  Monte said . 

 " Will you guys quieten it down a bit ,  I am trying to listen . " ,  I said .  

Jonesie then made a very good point . If Mr Dutton was prepared to let trusted  Afghans with firearms protect him while he was visiting their country , why is he unwilling to trust those very same Afghans now they are desperate for  asylum ?  He could stipulate that they leave their weapons behind . He could offer them asylum somewhere other than Australia while their visas are processed .... something other nations have already offered to do for us. 

"   Dutton  might prefer that they were all killed so he doesn't have to worry about them . "  ,  Ken junior said . 

Nobody commented .   Dog appeared to be wondering why we were suddenly so sullen faced . 

However we do take great consolation in the fact that Jonesie is starting to understand that many of his beloved Tories might be callous unprincipled slimebags .

Reference :- The Sky News anchors consistently promote the defunding of the ABC .

 Reference:-   A significant portion of Sky News' budget is spent waging war against the ABC . 

Dear purveyors of opinions you tell us to trust and news you tell us we can't ignore , 

After declaring war with China on our behalf  , you have wisely left the management of that conflict in the hands of our PM , wherever he might be .    Sky News simply doesn't have the resources to wage such a war , especially since the Murdoch empire is waning and not as flush with funds as it once was . 

On the other hand , waging war against climate alarmists and fake aborigines doesn't cost much , and does not risk your lives  or limbs .  This still allows you to belligerently promote the divisiveness which distracts attention from the elite.  After all , that is your true purpose whether you realize it or not . 

But be careful , your war on the ABC  , I mean " the tax payer funded ABC  " might not end well.  

For starters most of the country ( up to 80% )  likes the ABC , and doesn't mind spending 4 cents per day of tax money on funding .   A few years back that figure was double , and people didn't mind spending 8 cents per day .   Since then , by necessity , the ABC has secured funding through commercial deals , without filling their programs with advertising . Meanwhile  the federal government has cut about 800 million quid out of the budget for the ABC . 

Furthermore you are on shaky ground when you pretend to fret about taxpayers dollars  , when in fact your own media empire has waltzed off with sacks of loot at the taxpayer's expense . 

The really big sack was the 880 million quid in cash that Mr Murdoch  scored when he was granted a claim against the Australian Tax Office for a tax deduction related to an ambiguous situation involving exchange rates with the yankee dollar .  It would take a speed reader about five years to peruse all the documents related to the case , but clearly Mt Murdoch succeeded in syphoning 880 million quid out of general revenue that year .  

And what of the 30 million quid that the federal government gave you chaps to promote sports coverage ?  Concerned  parties attempted to access the documents relating to that grant under the Freedom of Information Act , but were essentially told  " bugger off , there is nothing to see here " , which usually means there is a great deal to see . 

Similarly Mr Murdoch managed to grab 50 million quid of taxpayers money from our  federal government who were , at the time , encouraging him to support local newspapers and print media outlets .   Instead he closed down 112 print media outlets .   ( And here I must disclose that my research might be lacking , since I have found no report that reveals on what date he repaid the 50 million . )

Anyway , my point is , the team at Sky News might be punching above their weight as they try to destroy the ABC .   You should stick with your forte , which is stirring divisiveness  and distracting us by employing journalistic cherry picking  .   Isn't that enough to give you the warm glow one experiences when one has done their job well ? 

Think of all your viewers who haven't heard of , say , the deadly heatwaves in the northern hemisphere , and believe that the most alarming news of the day concerns the proliferation of fake aborigines .

Those folk can sleep soundly because of you .  You have a right to feel proud .

That was a brilliant question Cory .  It sure had me stumped . You asked lefties to explain why they are so concerned about climate change , since the climate has changed in the past many times regardless of human influence . 

Well Cory , I couldn't answer that myself , so I asked the team at the Sky Reply to help me .  

Ken junior did a quick search on the interweb , and found several thousand articles on the subject that could answer your question .  I pointed out that these were articles by actual scientists , and the way you chaps spit out the word " scientists " reveals your contempt for their research .  ( Excluding , obviously , any research that can be manipulated to support your own opinion . )

 Gabbo has noticed that when you spit out the word " scientist " as though it was a rotten oyster ,  it is always to illustrate that the science in question is merely leftie propaganda .   But when you find something in the data that can be twisted to support your point of view , you always politely state that  " all we have to do is look at what the science tells us " . 

Anyway Cory ,  to answer your question , Ken junior pointed to the fact that the current rate of climate change is ten times faster than any that has occurred naturally during the past 65 million years . 

Although Cory , I am not sure whether that fact is " leftie propaganda spread by scientists "  or  something that   " the science tells us . "

Reference :- As troops withdraw from Afghanistan , some of the local people are afraid of being left behind .

Reference :-  Public figures on both sides of politics want to expedite the processing of visas for those who helped us in Afghanistan . 

I mentioned this to the lads at the Sky Reply .   Monte wanted to know why we only have two sides to politics , and why politics isn't multifaceted .   Gabbo reminded him that corporations can only afford to buy two political parties , which is why we don't get the choice in politics that we do when we go to buy breakfast cereal .   

Anyway , the point is that Sky icon Alan Jones once again interviewed a senior Labor politician and praised her for her position on the Afghanistan  issue .  Jonesie was genuinely concerned for the safety of those we may leave behind and strongly reminded us of our absolute duty to protect them . 

The lads at the Sky Reply expressed alarm at the thought that those who helped us in Afghanistan might come to harm at the hands of the Taliban .   Of course Jonesie's cohort of followers  don't care a fig what happens to some foreigner and his family in the middle east , and once again poor Jonesie scored mostly thumbs down in the predictably vile comments. 

I tried to console the lads by telling them that as with the droughts , the fires , the floods and the vaccine roll out  , we could trust our  PM , Mr Morrison , to deliver on his promise to save those in need . 

The lads were unconvinced , so I reminded them that Peter Dutton will also be  assisting the PM with his decisions . 

"If I was a translator in Afghanistan who had helped our forces and was desperate for asylum , I would feel nothing but relief when I heard that Mr Morrison and Mr Dutton had prioritised my application",  I said . 

The lads walked out of the room , for some reason .

Reference :- Sky weatherboy , Rowan Dean , has shrewdly avoided discussing the climate lately . Not so Andy Bolt .

Reference :- Once again Andy Bolt is attacking teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg .

Look Andy , we all know that you are no longer capable of convincingly ridiculing actual grown ups , whiskey will do that to a chap .  But don't resort to attacking teenage girls for heaven's sake .  Have you seen the weather reports from the northern hemisphere ?     Record temperatures , heatwave deaths , fires , people sheltering in " cooling rooms ".    Like you ,  I am no expert , but to me that does look like the climate is changing . 

Of course your weather boy at Sky News , Rowan Dean , doesn't report these events , lest he look like a total nincompoop . Likewise Chris Kenny has remained silent .   The weather is now so hot in northern climes that resorting to their usual " don't listen to the alarmists , it's been hot before "  rhetoric would be laughable .  

Ken junior suggested that they might like to quote a reference he has from one of Shakespeare's letters , in which the famous bard mentions a day so warm that he broke into a sweat while walking to his local inn.  Though it was kind of Ken junior to offer , I think that particular strategy has had it's day . 

Young Greta has a huge following worldwide , and you only belittle yourself by attacking her .  The best you can do is ignore her , especially since her communication skills are clearly superior to yours .  

Rowan Dean and the others at Sky News have backed away from Greta in defeat.   But at least they have saved a skerrick of what little dignity they ever laid claim to . Take my advice Andy, and back away with them  , before it's too late.

Reference :- Iconic Sky News presenter , Alan Jones , seems to be reassessing his support for the Tories .

 Reference :-   Alan Jones interviewed former Labor Premier of NSW , Bob Carr concerning the need to heal our relations with China .

You clearly enjoyed interviewing Bob Carr about our relations with China , Jonesie .  It must be a pleasant change to interview somebody who knows his topic and is polite , articulate and honest .  One couldn't help but notice that a few of your comments regarding the current state of the nation reflected badly on the conservatives , much to the disgust of a large number of your regular viewers . 

Indeed , you introduced your show by asking the question " Is anybody governing the country ? "  .  Ken junior immediately replied " Scott Morrison is running the country Jonesie , not that anybody would notice . "  You then went on to say that Bob Carr  ( a Labor chap no less ) " unlike modern politicians , is a voracious reader and student of politics ".   Does that mean you are becoming disenchanted with our current Prime Minister , who prefers swilling beer at the footy to reading , and is a keen student of marketing and self promotion ?  I think it does Jonesie , I think it does . 

I admire you for rethinking your position late in life , and applaud you for it .  So here are a few things for you to consider .   Firstly if you think  Mr Carr is well read and astute , perhaps you should reconsider your stand on climate change . Mr Carr firmly believes that we must urgently address that issue .  

And perhaps you should look at how your associates at Sky News might have influenced our relations with China .  Young Andy Bolt , for example , likes to declare war on China after a whiskey or two on set .  That might not be helpful.   Come to think of it Rowan Dean  also likes to insult the Chinese at every opportunity .   Plus  Chris Kenny and Peta Credlin who love sinking the boot into China when it helps their ratings . 

Lastly , speaking of ratings , have you noticed how half your supporters give you a thumbs down every time you interview somebody who actually makes sense ?  And the comments you receive  from the thumbs downers are enough to curdle a brave man's haemoglobin .   Maybe it's time to cast those folk aside . They can always get their jollies by joining QAnon , or one of the many other refuges for the mentally challenged that inevitably spring up when the elite foolishly make life too difficult for them .

I do believe you are heading in the right direction now Jonesie . That will have your biographers talking for years to come .

Reference :- Now that Sky weather boy Rowan Dean is back , we get to hear what his preferred experts say about the climate .

 Reference :-   Rowan Dean always finds the most interesting climate  experts . Although he speaks their names and qualifications so quickly it is hard to hear what he said . Fortunately Sky Reply contributor , Gabbo , has excellent hearing . 

It's nice to see you poncing about in front of your favored pictures of snow and incomprehensible graphs again Rowan . Although the insulting names you give climate scientists are starting to sound sadly lame .  ( If you like , we can whip up a few more for you , to freshen your show .    You can only say " moron " so many times without looking  bitter and twisted . Why not run with " dingbat " for awhile ?  It has a witty vibe , which might soften the appearance of your furrowed brow . )

Anyway Rowan , Gabbo has taken to the net , or interweb , as I believe it is called, and uncovered the details that you didn't have time to reveal in your last gripping broadcast . 

When you muttered " IPA  " I thought you must have been referring to that international panel on climate change . But Gabbo tells me the "IPA" is actually a ( very ) right wing think tank here in Australia . Mostly the IPA  relies on millions of quid in donations from mining magnate Gina Rinehart , although ExxonMobil , Caltex , Shell , Esso and British American Tobacco also dig deeply into their pockets for donations .   These donations ensure that the IPA  is not beholding to any vested interests when they make policy decisions .

That Dr Jennifer Marohasy you fleetingly mentioned is quite a mover and shaker at the IPA . Of course she has no qualifications in climate science , which obviously allows her to keep an open mind on the topic .   And she sensibly consults the other person you briefly named , Dr Walter Starck  .

Dr Starck is an interesting chap .  He hasn't had an article published in a peer reviewed journal for over thirty years , since he has been kept busy with a variety of pursuits .   Gabbo was fascinated to uncover Dr Starck's interest in " crop circles " .  We had some of those here near Kooralya  a few years ago .  They were discovered on the Johnson's wheat farm .    Old Clem Johnson reckoned they were made by aliens from another galaxy , but it turned out Monte had made them with his Yamaha trail bike , as a joke . 

The cops were pretty good about it . They gave Monte a stern warning and he hasn't made a crop circle  since . Although old Clem reckons they weren't all Monte's crop circles ,  and the aliens will come back if he ever manages to grow another wheat crop ... what with the drought and all .  

Do you think Dr Starck might be willing to look at our photos of the Kooralya crop circles Rowan ?  He should be able to tell if any of them are kosher . 

As with climate science , it's always worth consulting an expert .

Reference :- We tried to pretend he doesn't exist . But Barnaby Joyce is back .

 Reference :-  Sky News believes that  Barnaby Joyce will save the National Party .  They must have forgotten that women won the right to vote over a century ago.  

The other night we watched two political commentators being interviewed by Sky News regarding the return of Mr Barnaby Joyce to his old job as leader of the National Party and Deputy PM .  

When I commented that the Nationals must have forgotten that women won the right to vote a century or more ago , Gabbo reminded me that only white women were conceded voting rights back then .  Non -whites had to wait another three generations .  

" Jeez Gabbo ,  don't be too critical . It would have taken time to process the paperwork back then . They didn't have Roneo machines like we use now . " , I said . 

Anyway , the point is ....... Will women of the female gender vote for a disgraceful old adulterer  just because he claims to have " learned his lesson " ? 

Naturally we always turn to Sky News to help us answer these difficult questions . As luck would have it , Sky anchor Vic Morrow was interviewing some suitably conservative , heavily bearded white chap who views Barnaby favorably . But he also interviewed  the lovely young commentator , Daisy Cousens , about Barnaby's return . 

Daisy is one of the countries leading intellectuals , although  I know that isn't saying much . She is a delight to watch , since she subtly combines the warm jocularity of Bronwyn Bishop with the wardrobe of Carmen Miranda and the stylish patois of Kath and Kim . 

So here is what Daisy had to say about Barnaby .  

Nothing . Nil  . Nought . Zip . Sweet Fanny Adams . 

Daisy usually revels in the strident vibrations of her own vocal chords .  But there she was with her mouth firmly clammed shut . Her pursed lips remained  as grimly horizontal as the graph of Australia's  Covid vaccine rollout . 

But as Gabbo pointed out , it was her eyes that were doing the talking .  If it had been greenhouse gases pouring from her eyes instead of pure hatred , the human race would be extinct  already . 

We don't see much of the PM lately .  I suspect he may be trying to figure out a way to shoot Barnaby off  to some far flung place as foreign ambassador .  Probably one of the moons of Jupiter .  I mentioned this to Gabbo . 

" Maybe Scott Morrison should see if he can commandeer  Jeff Bezos'  rocket before the stupid thing blows up and blast Barnaby into space.  "  , Gabbo said . 

,  " Why did you call the rocket stupid ? "  ,  I said 

 " For starters , it looks like a giant phallus . " ,  Gabbo said . 

 " Give the man a break Gabbo .  Bezos just got divorced , and he is probably feeling insecure . "  I said . 

   Gabbo is inclined to become heartless when he watches too much Sky News .

It's always great to see your back Rowan .  Sorry , I mean " you're back" .   Although a chap with your complexion should be careful about getting too much sun .  Ken junior reckons you should have returned paler than ever , wearing gloves and a beanie , so that you could complain about the cold and the imminent ice age . 

 Sky Reply contributing editor Gabbo  initially thought you might be wearing blackface . But I told him you would never do that while being interviewed by fellow Sky reporter , Andy Bolt.  Young Andy has had enough time in court over accusations of racism to last a lifetime .

Anyway Rowan , enough of that . Let's move along to your role as weather boy .  You must have noticed that folk are dying from the heat in the northern hemisphere right now . In their hundreds .  If you don't explain that adequately your Ice Age Report might get canned . You don't want to lose your job .

Let's look at the so called " facts " through an ice age lens .  For starters folk in the USA and Canada are stacking on the avoirdupois faster than Paul Murray at a young liberals sausage sizzle .  Paul himself looks like a sack full of coronary embolisms . He sports the complexion of a rotten zucchini these days , and here it is winter . 

Imagine how long his ventricles would continue pulsating if he was in Canada right now ?

You need to point out that the hundreds of heatwave deaths are not due to the record temperatures . The obesity crisis is obviously to blame . 

Furthermore , as usual , the climate alarmists are trying to pass off hearsay as fact .  They expect us to believe that Lytton in Canada has experienced the highest temperature ever recorded for Canada , and broken that record three times in three consecutive days .  We must  look at that ridiculous claim more carefully . 

For starters , how are they measuring the temperature ?  The entire town has been burned to the ground by  catastrophic wildfires .  The residents themselves are quoted as saying " we just grabbed our car keys and our pets and fled ".   Nobody appears to have saved the thermometers , so how can anybody vouch for the accuracy of any temperature reports ?   And it goes without saying that the place was hotter than usual . Everything gets hotter when it's on fire .  

Once again we have to endure another beat up by cultural marxists whose only goal is to enrich themselves by pushing up the price of electricity for hard working Australians .   It' so obvious . 

Anyway Rowan , welcome back .  Gabbo reckons plenty of Aloe Vera cream will cure your sunburn swiftly .  Ken junior tried to tell me that something called "ozone"  in the upper firmament protects us from  ultraviolet rays and sunburn .   Sounds like rubbish to me .  According to my Funk and Wagnalls this supposed "ozone " only makes up .00006% of the atmosphere , so how could that do anything ?    Carbon dioxide levels are almost one thousand times that , and as Alan Jones tells us , they can't effect anything .

PS    How is your Ice Age Watch colleague ,  the mysterious Cap Allon , managing  up there in northern climes ?   Remind him not to become dehydrated .  ( One of the symptoms of dehydration is confusion and he needs a clear mind now more than ever ) .

Reference:- The Sky News anchors might be turning progressive !

Reference :-  First it was Alan Jones , and now Andy Bolt and Chris Kenny have also made favorable remarks about progressives .  ( And unfavorable remarks about their beloved conservatives . )  

Imagine our surprise when we heard Chris Kenny indicate that he thought the Labor premier of Victoria , Daniel Andrews , was the only senior political figure in the country who had a practical plan for ending the Covid crisis.    No doubt Peta Credlin is fuming with rage , especially since her partner at Sky News , Alan Jones , has also spoken favorable of Mr Andrew's recently . Ken junior reckons she is probably cowering in her lair stroking her Order Of Australia award obsessively while muttering  " My precious ! "  over and over again .

Feeling somewhat shocked by Chris Kenny's praise , we decided to check out Andy Bolt's latest angry rant . And there was Andy, angrily ranting about the abuse of police powers by the NSW LNP , while supporting the right to free speech of Jordan Shanks and Kristo Langker , two leftist comedians .  

It felt weird , so we flicked across  to the Alan Jones report .  We caught Alan  dressing down the deputy premier of NSW and National Party member for  Monaro , Mr John Barilaro .   Alan calls John Barilaro   " Barra "  , so I guess they know each other well.   But young John was copping an earful from Jonesie , and looked like a naughty schoolboy being reprimanded in the headmaster's office .  Later we watched  Jonesie in yet another of his interviews with deputy leader of the opposition , Tanya Plebersik .  He and Tanya , despite some differences of opinion , enjoyed their discussion , which was respectful and even slightly illuminating .    Ken junior reckons Jonesie is probably developing a taste for interviewing people with actual frontal lobes , rather than incompetent narcissistic grifters .

 Let's hope this catches on with the other anchors at Sky News .

" Do you think Peta Credlin and Rowan Dean might also revise their positions a tad ? " ,  I said . 

" Don't hold your breath . "      Ken junior said .
