Reference :- Sky News anchor Andy Bolt terminated an interview with one of his guests rather abruptly .

 Reference :-    Washington correspondent for " The Australian " newspaper , Adam Creighton , didn't quite follow the expected narrative during an interview with Andy Bolt about the North Sea gas pipeline sabotage .  

Dear Andy , 

                       These are indeed tough times . Not just for you , but also for your comrades like  Paul Murray , and Peta  Credlin et al.   The problem is this .  Increasing,  many of those in the know , from either side of the so called political divide ,  don't agree with the Sky News narrative . Whether it be climate change , the economy , the war in Ukraine  or whatever , it is becoming difficult for you to find credible experts who share your rationally formulated views . 

From now on you must be very wary, and choose your experts carefully .  You should dust Adam Creighton for starters .  Thank merciful Odin you cut him short before he said too much . It was bad enough when he pointed out that Mr Putin would have no motive for scuttling his own gas pipeline assets ( worth a cool 20 billion quid ) .  And even worse when Adam suggested doing so would deprive Mr Putin of his best tool for negotiating a compromise in Eastern Ukraine . 

But for the love of God , he then went on to suggest that Ukraine might have a strong motive for those underwater detonations , claiming that those running Ukraine  might not want Mr Putin to offer gas to the West in exchange for a compromise in the East .  You  certainly did the right thing by joking about conspiracy theories and cutting him off . What else could you do ? 

As we all know , this Ukraine war is a very simple thing , with no complications .   There are good guys , and there are bad guys .   Obviously we are the good guys and Mr Putin's scurvy crew , who started a war without provocation , are the bad guys .  If a bad thing happens , and this pipeline trashing is indeed a bad thing , then there is no doubt that the bad guys are responsible . 

The last thing we need is some overpaid international journalist complicating the narrative and confusing the average punter . 

One last thing . You must avoid reference to the environment when expressing horror at the wilful destruction .  We all know the atmosphere is doing just fine .  A few hundred thousand tons of methane seeping into the firmament is neither here nor there , so let's not give the crazy green left more ammunition for their scaremongering .

Reference :- Regular Sky News guest Bjorn Lomborg is softening his views on climate change ... a bit .

Reference :-   The startling number of record heatwaves and other weather calamities worldwide appears to have got Mr Lomborg thinking . 

Dear  Sky News Team  ( especially young Andy Bolt ) , 

                                                                                           It might be wise to cross that Bjorn Lomborg chap off your list of climate experts .  ( I use the term " climate expert " in it's broadest sense , since his  formal qualification is in political , not environmental science . ) 

You may have missed it , but a few days back , in a lengthy interview at the Hoover Institution , Mr Lomborg responded to a question regarding the record heatwaves in Europe with the following statement .

" climate change is absolutely real and man made and it's something we should be concerned about . " 

Sadly , it looks like the climate alarmists have got to him .  Nonetheless , the Sky News team can still push their narrative by interviewing each other .... a tried -and -true technique .

Here at the Sky Reply we have noticed that Rowan Dean has been reluctant to run his Ice Age Watch weather boy comedy segments .   We sure do miss them , and certainly hope that the green left climate change crazies haven't got to him too . 

 Anyway , must fly .  We have had another flood here at Kooralya and we need to retrieve various goods and chattels that floated off down the creek .  This has been our fourth record flood in two years , so I reckon it has to be the last .  Thankfully we are expecting record heat in the coming weeks , which should dry the place out nicely .

Reference :-  Gabbo presented us with a poem he has written . 

As  regular readers know , here at the Sky Reply we do enjoy publishing the occasional poem .  In a recent Sky Reply we suggested that it would be hard to find a rhyme for ICAC , which is a shame , since there  is much in media of late about a proposed Independent Commission Against Corruption .  

Gabbo couldn't resist the challenge , and has written the following poem to prove it can be done . ( The poem that is , not the independent commission thing . )  

                                            The Winds of Change

                             To stall democracy's hijack ,

                             And share market scams via buy back , 

                            Plus theft indiscreet , 

                            By the nation's elite , 

                            We need a federal ICAC . 

I guess that shows it can be done . Already Ken junior and Monte have grabbed their pencils and are trying to outdo each other .  If they come up with a worthy poem we will include it in future posts .

Reference:- A motion that was regularly moved has vanished from sittings of Parliament lately .

 Reference :-  The days when somebody in the coalition could gag the opposition in Parliament are well and truly passed . 

Dear members of the temporarily unpopular Coalition , 

                                                                                          These are indeed trying times for you .  It's bad enough that the crazy lefties now run parliament , and even worse that they are merely the puppets of greedy unions  , but you also have to listen to them expose all manner of confidential business from your decade at the helm . Honestly, how can you be expected to keep certain matters out of the public eye if you can't have one of your Members of Parliament stand up and shout " I move that the speaker be no longer heard ." ? 

Certain matters are best kept confidential , but the crazy socialists who won the election in a landslide don't seem to understand that . Where , I ask , are their ethics  ? 

Anyway , it is important that you don't panic .  Mr Dutton and that young Angus Taylor chap asked some pretty stupid questions in Parliament this week , which only brought unwelcome attention upon them .  If a chap went out to dinner in his underpants ,  it would be unwise to ask somebody to explain why they are dining out while not wearing a tie . 

Fear and loss of empowerment often causes panic , and the prospect of an independent ICAC has clearly rattled the Coalition more than somewhat .   Please stay calm and keep your mouths zipped for as long as you can .  You can always point out that although you may have taken some liberties with the public purse strings , these are now ancient history , and nobody should be held to account for something that happened long ago . To do so would be nothing but a vindictive witch hunt . One might just as well lock somebody in the slammer for a murder they committed decades ago . 

For now , saying silent in Parliament is your best strategy . Saying nothing served you well during  the recent Jobs and Skills Summit , so take a lesson from that .

PS   Ken junior  ( the smart aleck ) just told me that somebody has just been put in jail for a murder that dates back decades .  I don't know why he enjoys correcting me all the time .  For the love of God .... teenage boys .... who needs them ?

Reference :-   This year the Kooralya show features a clairvoyant . Ken junior went for a consultation . 

Here at the Sky Reply we are not superstitious . And if we did decide to support a superstition it wouldn't be astrology or clairvoyance or the like .   I mean , if a chap decides to sacrifice rational thought and run with some brand of superstition it may as well be a tax deductible one .  Preferably one that receives a lot of government support , like that  Hillsong Church mob promoted  by the former Prime Minister. 

Anyway , for some it can occasionally be fun to look at a horoscope , or visit a fortune teller , and yesterday Ken junior paid twenty quid  ( sadly non -tax deductible )  to consult a clairvoyant about his dreams .   Lately Ken junior has been experiencing the same dream most nights . It goes like this ....

Ken junior is wandering through an apocalyptic cityscape .  The public facilities are in a state of ruin , and the streets are brimming with desperate crowds of protestors .  The protestors carry placards with a variety of slogans .  Some say  " We need a living wage " . Some say " Health care for all " . Some say " Tax the rich " .  Some say " Stop subsidizing coal "  .  Some say  " End the capitalist wars " .  Some say " Cancel student debt " .   Some say "  Compensation for flood victims now ".   Some say " Stop wages theft " .  Some say " We need a federal ICAC " . Some say " Support aged care workers ".  Some say " Support nurses " . Some say " Support teachers ".  Some say " No more deaths in custody ".   Some say " Support the homeless ".   Some say " Climate change is an existential crisis " .  There are many many more . 

In his dream Ken junior pushes  through this angry crowd, and eventually he comes across an odd young man wearing a dress .  Suddenly Rupert Murdoch arrives on a golden litter carried by the Sky News team . He points at the young man and proclaims .  " He is the problem . The crazy woke lefties are ruining civilization as we know it . "   The Sky News team lower the litter , rush at the young man , and beat him with rolled up newspapers .   Young Andy Bolt is drunk and particularly violent . " Don't hurt him too much Andy , we need to attack him again every day for a long time yet " , Mr Murdoch says .  Dozens of media cameras focus on the crazy woke leftie , and the thousands of protestors are ignored . 

Personally , I reckon that is a pretty weird dream .   I told Ken junior as much .

" What do you think it means ? " ,  Ken junior said . 

 " It doesn't seem to mean anything . " , I said . 

 " Well the clairvoyant told me what she thinks it means . " , Ken junior said . 

 " And what is that ? " , I said 

 " She said it means I am sexually repressed . " , Ken junior said . 

 " That's completely ridiculous. Anyway, what will we cook for dinner ? ",  I said . 

 " I won't be home for dinner . " , Ken junior said . 

 " Why not ? " , I said . 

 " The clairvoyant invited me for drinks at the pub after work ." , Ken junior said . 

  The sooner the traveling show leaves town the better , as far as I am concerned .

Reference:- Sky anchor Paul Murray interviewed former Prime Minister , Mr Scott Morrison AKA " Scomo ".

Reference :- The lads at the Sky Reply sort of drifted away during Paul Murray's interview with Mr Morrison . I guess there was not enough engaging content to fill the whole 25 minute time slot  . 

Dear Paul , 

                     Once again you have proved the calibre of your show .  Nobody else has been able to swing a decent interview with Mr Morrison since he was demoted , but we knew you could do it .  We were all ears  here at The Sky Reply when your interview started . Sadly after a few minutes the lads drifted away due to various pressing engagements .  Ken junior said he had to wash the dog , Monte said the oven had to be cleaned , and Gabbo needed to start on this quarter's BAS for the tax office . 

It's a shame , because they would have loved watching the whole interview .  I notice that it has already received 188 thumbs up on YouTube .  Ken junior tells me that young Jordan Shanks , the rebel journalist , has received more than  one million views for his shows condemning poor Mr Morrison for all and sundry . 

I reminded him that it is early days yet , and your show will crack the million mark before long .

Anyway Paul , I am not very au fait with the use of information technology , as I believe IT is called .  But you can pencil me in for a thumbs up which will take your score to 189 .

Reference :- The leader of the opposition , Mr Dutton , didn't attend the national Jobs and Skills Summit .

Reference :-  Mr Dutton told us that he expected the Jobs and Skills Summit would be detrimental to industrial relations and open the doors to union thuggery . 

Dear Mr Dutton ,  

                               The Jobs and Skills Summit has come and gone , and as yet the lads at the Sky Reply have not reviewed the results .  But Ken junior reckons you should have attended .  Especially if you thought it would result in damage to the country . Surely if you are concerned about the predicament of our citizens you should have attended in order to offer direction and advice . Furthermore you could have highlighted any mistakes in policy . 

On the other hand , Gabbo reckons you don't care a fig for the plight of our citizens . He says you didn't attend because you feared that anything you said was likely to make you look foolish .  That seems a tad unfair if you ask me . 

Anyway , Gabbo has written a short poem on the subject .  I wasn't going to include it here , but since a long time has passed since we last featured a poem ,  here it is .   ( I guess the lads haven't been feeling very poetic lately , what with all the existential crises and all . )
