 Reference :-   Andy Bolt's presentations are impossible to fathom these days . What has happened ?  

 

Dear Andy , 

                      After following your cutting edge journalism through the years , we can see that you are crying out for help .  What in God's name were you thinking when you complained that artistic folk are inclined to have socialist tendencies ?   That has been the case for thousands of years , in art , literature , music and for that matter , science .  ( Science being another outlet for creativity . )    

You do yourself no favours by appearing to have only recently noticed this correlation between creativity , intelligence , and leftist political views .  The physicist Albert Einstein was a socialist , as was the artist Pablo Picasso ,  the author George Orwell , the musician John Lennon , the actor Charlie Chaplin , the comedian Ricky Gervais , the biologist Richard Dawkins ... and on and on .....and on .  Even Jesus Christ was a socialist . 

To say that you have only just come to this realization makes you appear  ill - informed Andy .   And worse still , you then started banging on about art and politics , complaining that art has become too political .  

But Andy ,  art has always been used to make political statements . From the days of the Pharaohs through the ages of the Greeks and Romans ,  to sailor's sea shanties , to Turner's painting " The Slave Ship " , to Negro jazz and blues  , to  Picasso's " Guernica " to George Orwell's " Animal Farm " to Andy Warhol's " Electric Chair " to the stand up comedy of George Carlin and the music of Pink Floyd the arts have  always been used to make political statements .  That is unlikely to ever change , and it would be a sign of horrendous repression if it did . 

 Anyway Andy , none of us is perfect , so we will let this one slip through to the keeper . But it might be wise to change tack with your show , and stop it from becoming a bitch session for the stupid and the uninformed .    A man of your brilliance deserves a more erudite fan base .

 Ken junior reckons you should monitor the comments that are posted beneath your presentations .  He reckons that as you lift your game you should look for a decrease in the number of comments by folk who can't spell,  and " shout "  using capital letters . ARE YOU WITH ME SON ?
